Whats making us sick the milk we drink or are lack of microbes?

My last post was about Vitamin D and I know I said I was going to post a part 2 with sources explaining my rationale but as it happens I've been motivated to write a post on a completely separate topic.

I'm Back in the U.S.S.R. and You Don't Know How Lucky We Are 3/3 nootropics and probiotics

Russians are known for drinking a shit ton and dying from alcohol poisoning in the streets. They are also known for Communism,  a crazy sorcerer who haunted family members of the Russian Czars and really sad literature.

How to get more reading done.

I am a bit crazy. Crazy in the fact that I hate television and try to distance myself from most technology in my apartment. I do this partly out of fear of EMF radiation but that is really not the main reason.

I maintain this blog but I do if from the comfort of my work place or the confines of a nice coffee shop. But the reason I lack the technological comforts of most modern people is because I feel like for my goals it is largely a distraction.

This year has been a year of personal growth and to me internet and television are a distraction. The things I try to focus on are increasing my knowledge base and although both those things are incredible tools they are also an incredible distraction.

Sure I have my phone but even that stays disconnected for the most part because in part I just can't afford to go over my data. Nevertheless the idea from this post is not an original one and I came to the idea for from a post by Dr. Michael Eades, M.D. the author of Protein Power on his blog.

I'm back in the U.S.S.R. and You Don't Know How Lucky We Are part 2/3

Well here we go again another post about Eastern Europe and some other random awesome shit that has come out of it.

Yes despite some totally crazy politics that from time to time happen in that region and the possibility of the second Cold War emerging over this Russia and Ukraine thing there is some very awesome things to come from Russia in particular

Awesome things that do not include this amazing image

or even this one

60-day Reset

I think just about everyone knows what the 30-day reset is and if you don't then you can look back in previous posts where I talk about actually committing to one or just Google.

Anyways, I think for the most part it is a liberating thing and it is a good thing to help pinpoint allergies. Chris Kresser has pointed out that he sees it mainly as an elimination diet and I agree that it is.

You wear your health on your skin

I've come to the conclusion that you wear your diet on your skin, most notably your face. I write this because after partaking on an epic binge of movie popcorn I ate pizza with co-workers as part of a small work celebration.

I have tons of willpower and in fact for me avoiding foods that I know to be bad for me are so easy that I have to almost actively will myself to make a decision that involves poor food choices. It's funny I started to do these things as a sort of a way to de-stress and to be able to function more comfortably in social situations.

Eating pizza, popcorn, ice cream and etc. has actually become extremely stressful to me. It's funny but for me I've been eating pretty clean for a long time and have been damn near spotless for about seven. Yet I partake in these rituals so that I can feel included in things and because I don't want to regret having passed up a good night of pizza and beer with friends from time to time.

Yet despite occasionally willing myself to partake in these rituals with friends from time to time I can literally feel it the next day in my joints and in particular on my face.

It's funny I can literally feel the pimples forming on my skin and I know that I suffer from a fungal infection so it really isn't in my best interest to partake from time to time.

I get acne and my body breaks out into a weird funky rash thing that doesn't look particularly sexy. Its an issue I'd like to put to bed. However, it is hard to get rid of and you damn near feel like death trying to murder this thing.

Anyways I this is just one of those silly ramblings that make their way into blogs once in a while. Me just noticing how when things aren't dialed in how I wear them on my skin.

I'm back in the U.S.S.R. and You Don't Know How Lucky We Are part 1/3

Today I was thinking a lot about the various aspects of my interests and how one part of the world has played a huge role on development of those areas. The part of the world is Eastern Europe and in particular Russia.

Interests such as weightlifting, kettlebells, powerlifting, smart drugs and gut health. To go even further my favorite MMA fighter of all time Fedor Emlienanko and in general I enjoy porn with busty all natural Eastern European women– thank god for the internet.
