My Approach to Eating

I am not a paleo dogmatist, in fact, I don't think I ever claimed to be but probably for the last 6 months or so went off the deep end with it and was actually practicing it.

I have to say be crazy low-carb paleo sucked and it didn't really make me feel better. What did make me feel better is when I started eating a variety of foods and stopped being low-carb.

You see my body thinks it's an athlete despite my physical activity being less then what it used to be. When I started eating carbs again I started getting bigger. Not bigger as in fat as in my muscles just started to fill out again.

I'm trying to be an athlete again and I'm trying to get strong again. The thing is that in considering this my approach to eating has changed.

I'm sick but I think that may be a good thing

So I am officially suffering from my first true cold probably in like 1.5 years or more. May be allergies or it may be a virus, who knows?

I'm looking at this as a largely positive thing right now interestingly enough. I'd like to maybe explain why even though it will be a completely non-scientific article.

Vitamin C you're taking it but not enough of it

So for this post I want to focus on a critically important vitamin that everyone is probably taking but not maybe at the appropriate doses for their body.

No, it is not the fat soluble paleo darlings vitamin A and D, which I am sure probably most people are probably deficient in. It's not even the Weston A. Pricer's favorite vitamin K2, which is another fat soluble vitamin. No this vitamin is the all to critical vitamin C.

Thoughts on a possible candida treatment

So as stated this article is about how I am going about trying to prevent the affects of a candida overgrowth while on antibiotics and then my post strategy.

Nothing about this is really a proven method and is really just me interpreting how to deal with a condition.

Yogurt in your vagina, Candida the unknown result of antibiotic use.

In today's post I am going to probably talk about something that if you've followed me for the past year or so know I talk about all the time and that is chronic antibiotic use.

As I currently sit here typing this I have five stitches in my forehead from general numbskullness from working out at the playground. Prescribed to me by the doctor was a round of antibiotics to prevent infection.

I took the prescription despite some hesitancy from being burned before by these things but as I lay there with blood pooling out of my decided it was in my best interest to maybe for once not be so stubborn on the issue.

I dare you to call me a vegan or why I eat meat and feel compelled to bitch slap people who think otherwise

For some reason it is socially acceptable to make healthy eating decisions if you are a vegan but  if you're not then it's just weird. For whatever reason every time I refuse to drink a beer or even have a piece of junk food people first think to ask me if I am vegan.

My answer is usually as follows, "god no!" I personally hate the concept of veganism and think that it is just another way people are contributing to the de-evolution of the human race. It's probably because I'm thin, fit looking, and wear tight bike pants to show off my junk. Joking aside but the simple fact that people associate those who don't eat crap as vegans is a joke.
